Role OverviewThe Clubhouse Counselor II provides individual and group support to members of the Clubhouse, working in partnership with members to improve life skills and self-determination. The role involves providing specific expertise for and/or leadership in one or more Clubhouse work areas, including Employment/Education, Communication, Art, and Social Recreation, Intake, Orientation, Outreach, and Housing, and/or Health, Wellness, and Life Skills. The Counselor will assess, develop, and implement Action Plans with members, promote a supportive and empowering services environment, and communicate and reinforce the Clubhouse culture and philosophy.
What You Will Do
The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position include assessing and developing Action Plans with members, promoting a supportive and empowering services environment, communicating and reinforcing the Clubhouse culture and philosophy, assisting members in linking to other community services and resources, and providing support to Clubhouse members in all work areas.

Requirements
- One to three years experience in human services field required
- Advanced training, experience, or professional credentials are required for Clubhouse Counselor II positions
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, rehabilitation counseling, special education, or related is preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- CPR certification required within two weeks of hire
- First Aid certification required within two weeks of hire
- Crisis Intervention/Staff Safety and Infectious Diseases certification within 6 months of employment
- ServSafe certification within 6 months of hire for Clubhouse Counselor II Health and Wellness positions
