Role OverviewThis part-time position will work 20 hours per week, rotating between surgical specialty departments. The role is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, and carrying out administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider.
What You Will Do
Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds, coordinate provider schedules and appointments, instruct patients and families, prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures, and maintain exam rooms and equipment.

This position is perfect for students going back to school for their RN or LPN, and requires a graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program, with a minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program
- Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN
- Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (Preferred)
- Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (Preferred)
- Certified as a Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant in the state of WI
- Valid Practical Nursing license in the state of WI
- CPS/BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
