Role OverviewPerforms patient care and activities in the Adult Day Health Center and/or In Home as directed. Reports to the Clinical Services Director/Adult Day Health Coordinator when in center. Reports to Senior TLC Home Care Agency Supervisor when providing in-home services.
What You Will Do
Assists with tasks on a plan of care for Participants in the center and/or in the home, provides personal care, serves meals, performs incidental household services, assists with activities, and obtains vital signs and weights.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have 1-2 years of experience working as a CNA, with at least 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly population. Must be able to prepare simple meals, perform personal care and housekeeping tasks, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of experience working as a CNA
- Currently listed as CNA (I or II) with NC Nurse Aide Registry
- Valid driving license with personal vehicle insurance required
- Good driving record
- Ability to lift and turn participants
- Knowledge of and care of adults with chronic health conditions
