Role OverviewThe CNC Machine Programmer plans machining sequences and fixturing for 3-5 axis machine tools. The role involves determining methods, cutter types, and cutting parameters depending on various materials and design specifications. The programmer designs 3-D computer models, drawings, and specifications for fabrication of fixturing elements and creates 3-5 axis tool paths using Unigraphics CAD/CAM software. The programmer works with process engineers to ensure quality and design objectives are achieved.
