Role OverviewThe CNC Programmer is responsible for creating and implementing high-quality CNC programs for operations in a production environment using various CAD/CAM and other software and models. The programs must be verified for accuracy and ready to be set up and proven out on the equipment. This role will also support the production floor with process improvement and work to improve tooling management and cost reduction.
What You Will Do
Writes and/or modifies CNC programs and instruction sheets for multi-axis machined parts, monitors performance of program after implementation, adjusts as needed, maintain program files, provide ongoing support for machining processes, assist in the training of operators on equipment and programs, and assist in the identification and evaluation of new tooling and fixture applications.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD/CAM programming, experience as a level 3 machinist, proficiency in computer skills and electronic data management, working knowledge of cutting tool geometry, speeds and feeds for types of materials used, and working knowledge of trigonometry and mathematical formulas needed to calculate machining processes.
