Role OverviewWe are seeking a CNC Machine Operator with structural steel fabrication experience to operate automated equipment used for cutting, drilling, and processing steel components.
What You Will Do
Set machine controls, measure materials, apply or transfer part numbers, monitor CNC equipment, perform routine maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Experience operating CNC plasma tables or steel sawing, drilling, or cutting equipment is required. Ability to read blueprints, fabrication symbols, and shop notes is preferred.
Requirements
- Experience operating CNC plasma tables or steel sawing, drilling, or cutting equipment
- Experience with at least one of the listed machines
- Ability to read blueprints, fabrication symbols, and shop notes preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Experience with Tekla PowerFab preferred
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment safely
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in shop environments with hot and cold temperatures
