Job Description
The Clinic Coder 1 abstracts clinical information and assigns ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 codes to patient records according to established procedures. Responsibilities include coding/abstracting, communicating with HIM staff, and assisting with reimbursement issues. Maintains an accuracy rate of not less than 93% and demonstrates competencies in patient/customer service.
