Role Overview

Franciscan Health, one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the Midwest, is seeking a Coding Auditor to ensure development and implementation of coding strategies across the system. This role involves following state and federal compliance regulations, policy and procedure development, standardization of coding operations, analyzing coding quality, and performing chart reviews.

What You Will Do

Review, research, and respond to coding inquiries from other Franciscan departments. Integrate current industry changes into a clinical audit practice setting, act as a subject matter expert regarding payer reimbursement methodologies and official coding guidelines, and assist Coding Supervisor with reviewing and responding to external coding audits. Perform quality reviews to ensure compliance with payer reimbursement methodologies and official coding guidelines, provide audit results and trends to Coding Education Specialists, and summarize quality review results for Coding Managers, Supervisors, Coding Education Specialists, and coding staff.

The position offers a salary range of $48,838.40 to $72,664.80 and is fully remote. Candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management are preferred, along with RHIA or RHIT certifications.
