Job Description
Infinx is seeking a Coding Specialist to work in hybrid mode in Metairie, LA/New Orleans, LA, responsible for CPT and ICD-10 coding, ensuring accuracy, maximum reimbursement, and minimizing denials. The position involves assigning codes, contacting clients, monitoring regulatory changes, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of experience in medical coding and auditing, and/or customer service
  • Nationally recognized coding credential
  • 1-3+ years of experience in outpatient physician and/or multi-specialty coding
  • Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, CDT, and ICD-10 codes as well as medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical business and revenue cycle operations
  • Functioning knowledge of Office Applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to multi-task independently and/or with a team
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple responsibilities
