Role OverviewServe as a College Adviser or College Completion Coach with AmeriCorps through the Michigan College Access Network (MCAN) to help students across Michigan access and succeed in college. The role involves providing one-on-one guidance, leading workshops, and building relationships with school staff and community partners.
What You Will Do
Provide one-on-one guidance to a cohort of students, lead workshops, classroom presentations, and group events, track and report student progress and outcomes, and participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development.

Requirements
- Must be 18+ and a U.S. citizen, national, or legal permanent resident
- Must pass federal and state background checks
- Must live within 45 minutes of placement site and have reliable transportation
- AdviseMI: Bachelor’s degree or higher (Associates degree accepted at some locations)
- College Completion Corps: Associate degree or higher
