Job Description
The Combined Cycle Operator III (CCO III) is responsible for the coordination, safe and efficient operation, of the generating units at the Citrus CC Power Station.

Requirements

  • Must first have been qualified as a journeyman operator at a combined cycle combustion turbine power station.
  • Successful completion of the Power Plant Maintenance Selection System (MASS) Test at the Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) level
  • Successful completion of the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) Test
  • Must also demonstrate a progression skill level of competence from selected journeyman tasks in the following three maintenance fields: electrical, instrumentation and controls, and mechanical
  • Must be fully competent in power station operations; incumbent must also be well versed in the underlying theoretical applications of thermodynamics
  • Also required is a complete understanding of power station water chemistry functions and applications
  • Excellent analysis and decision-making abilities required
