Role Overview

Azenta Life Sciences is seeking a Commercial Finance & AI Analytics Analyst to join our growing and dynamic organization. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager for the Multiomics and Synthesis Solutions business known as GENEWIZ, this position will provide FP&A support to the U.S. Commercial organization.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled forecasting models & reporting to improve revenue, bookings, and demand planning accuracy. Build automated reporting solutions and KPI dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce Analytics, and other BI platforms.

This critical position within the Multiomics FP&A team holds key responsibilities include pacing and tracking of sales actuals and targets, driving Commercial Finance process improvements, partnering with Commercial, Commercial Operations, and Marketing teams in bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience building automated reporting solutions and interactive dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Experience utilizing AI and machine learning tools in business analytics or financial planning environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Copilot, Azure AI Services, Microsoft Copilot, Databricks, Alteryx, Python, R, or similar advanced analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, NetSuite, OneStream, and modern cloud data environments.
  • Experience developing predictive forecasting models and automated decision-support tools.
  • Six Sigma, Lean, Agile, or process improvement certifications preferred.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and enterprise reporting frameworks.
  • Passion for AI, automation, and continuous process improvement.
  • Strong business partnership and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence decision making through data storytelling and visual analytics.
  • Curiosity to challenge traditional processes and drive digital transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement innovative solutions that improve business performance.

Benefits

  • United States Base Compensation: $115,000.00 - $144,000.00
  • 4 days on-site in South Plainfield, NJ. Remote on Fridays
  • Occasional travel may be required (not expected to be more than 10%)
