Commercial Lines Account Manager – Property & Casualty
Location: San Antonio, TX (In-Office for first 90 days; Hybrid schedule available after successful completion of onboarding and training)

 

At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team helps businesses protect what they’ve built — from day-to-day operational risks to long-term strategic exposures. We’re seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join one of our top-producing teams in San Antonio.

 

This role plays a key part in supporting producers, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring operational precision across renewals, new business, and ongoing service needs. You’ll collaborate closely with producers, carriers, and clients to deliver a seamless and thoughtful client experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What You’ll Do / Your Impact

 

Producer & New Business Support

  • Coordinate renewals and new business activities by gathering underwriting details and maintaining accurate expiration and marketing records

  • Request, review, and analyze carrier quotes

  • Assist with marketing and placement of business, preparing presentations and offering thoughtful recommendations on premiums, coverage options, and outstanding items

Client & Carrier Relationship Management

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients and carriers

  • Handle service requests, proofs of insurance, documentation, and follow-ups with responsiveness and attention to detail

  • Support strong client retention through proactive communication and service excellence

Operational & Compliance Excellence

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness across policies, endorsements, invoicing, audits, and billing

  • Conduct month-end statement reviews and coordinate finance arrangements when needed

  • Maintain organized electronic files, suspense systems, and compliance with agency E&O guidelines

  • Support special projects and team initiatives as needed


QUALIFICATIONS

What You Bring

 

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Commercial Lines role

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license per state requirements

  • Thorough understanding of commercial lines underwriting and coverage structures

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of Windows-based systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite

  • Experience with Applied Epic preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Work Model:
This position requires in-office presence for the first 90 days to support onboarding and training. Following successful completion of the probationary period, a hybrid schedule will be established in partnership with the manager.

Licensure & Continuing Education
