Role OverviewThe Commercial Loan Officer will be responsible for the development, growth, and retention of the business loan and deposit portfolio. This role will cover the Greater Tampa Bay area and involve recruiting potential clients, developing and implementing competitive loan products, training financial center staff, and ensuring product and portfolio compliance with NCUA and other applicable laws and regulations.

The main day-to-day responsibilities of this role include recruiting potential clients, developing and implementing competitive loan products, training financial center staff, and the origination, processing, presentation, closing, and tracking of business loan applications and closed loans.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited university is preferred
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years commercial loan and business service skills required, or one (1) year of commercial lending experience within the credit union required
- Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Must have good analytical skills
- Must have thorough knowledge of the current software systems or experience on related systems
- Must have thorough knowledge of all laws related to commercial lending as well as laws and regulations that govern the operation of Federal Credit Unions
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
