Role OverviewThe Commercial Painter and General Maintenance role is responsible for routine to moderately complete surface preparation, painting, and finishing tasks. Applying a variety of methods, media, and techniques to both interior and exterior surfaces. The position performs routine repair, maintenance and replacement of various components of the physical structure of the hangar and terminal buildings.
What You Will Do
Examines surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary. Complete on-site preparations such as, moving furniture and covering fixtures. Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by repairing damaged areas, scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint. Paint surfaces according to instructions with a variety of tools. Perform basic stencil and line work, which may include painting lines on floors, and other surfaces. Apply varnish and other finishes. Maintains an inventory of supplies.

Requirements
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Proven experience as a commercial painter
- 1-2 years of painting experience
- 1-2 years of general handyman experience
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
- Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
- Basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills
- Power hand tool knowledge and maintenance
