Role Overview

The Commission Technician performs varied and extremely confidential work providing clerical and other essential support by receiving and routing incoming and outgoing mail; answering the telephone; entering and requesting information regarding NCIC/FCIC; corresponding with law enforcement; updating information in files; receiving, processing warrants, copying, scanning, and distributing various material; and performing additional functions as needed.

What You Will Do

Prepares Commission warrants on release violators, processes warrants, enters data into the warrant database, monitors the FCIC/NCIC terminal, verifies hits on wanted persons, authorizes no bond holds, processes arrest notifications, ensures accuracy of wanted entries, and provides assistance to the Revocations Supervisor with routine tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of proper grammar and general office procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
