Job Description
Role Overview

The Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE) is responsible for the field execution of mission-critical commissioning activities throughout the US. The CxE reports directly to AECOM's Commissioning Project Manager, and ensures that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and controls systems are designed, installed, tested, and operate in accordance with the Owners Project Requirements (OPR) and related industry standards.

What You Will Do

Lead and support commissioning field efforts for new construction and retrofit data center projects, perform independent commissioning design reviews for compliance with OPR, and conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and system readiness.

This role requires strong situational awareness and compliance with site safety and AECOM safety requirements, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and commissioning software tools.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.
  • 4 years of commissioning, design, or construction experience in mission-critical environments
  • Advanced understanding of data center infrastructure and supporting systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • US Citizenship is required
