Role Overview

Part-time Communications Representative responsible for day-to-day administration of incoming and outgoing communications as a PBX hospital operator. Monitors automated alarm systems, initiates emergency notifications, and maintains departmental administrative records.

What You Will Do

Answers and directs incoming and outgoing telephone traffic, operates the overhead paging system, and responds to alarms and phone calls in a calm and professional manner.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must possess high degree of diplomacy, excellent verbal and oral communications skills, and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and remain calm in stressful situations is required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the operations of multi-line telephone systems and associated communications equipment
  • Patient Contact: Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills in providing appropriate care/contact for patients in the following age groups
