Role OverviewThe Community Behavioral Health Worker provides direct services to empower individuals and families to build skills and overcome barriers to behavioral health and daily functioning. The role involves coaching and practical support in home, school, and community settings, guiding access to community resources, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
What You Will Do
The Community Behavioral Health Worker will engage individuals and families in identifying strengths, barriers, and goals related to behavioral health and daily functioning. They will provide skill building, coaching, and practical supports in home, school, and community settings, and support clients in developing routines, coping skills, and healthy communication patterns.

Requirements
- A high School diploma or GED equivalent
- A bachelor’s degree in related field or minimum 3 years of direct relevant experience
- Experience with multi-need individuals and families
- Experience partnering with local behavioral health systems, housing, legal systems, and social services
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- Broad knowledge of community service systems
- Advanced communication skills, both oral and written
- Advanced organizational skills
- Ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions
- A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
- An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage
- Ability to use a personal vehicle or company vehicle to provide services in homes, schools, and community settings
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment
- Ability to maintain high-speed internet connection
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
