Role Overview

The Community Manager is responsible for supervising, controlling, and planning the day-to-day activities of the apartment community. They are also responsible for implementing company policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a well-managed, well-maintained building within established management operating and assuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and investors.

What You Will Do

The Community Manager will use successful techniques and company directives to screen, hire, and train new personnel, provide support to staff, determine transitions and promotions, file reports, maintain accurate records, prepare annual budgets, and ensure the property is rented to the fullest capacity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of property management experience
  • Ability to apply logical thinking principles to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate courses of action
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Achieve Fair Housing certification before interaction with prospects or residents
  • Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite, and community software applications
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner throughout the workday and/or whenever present in the community
  • Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook
  • Successfully pass a drug test
  • College degree preferred
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred
