Role Overview

The Community Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing member events, programs, and activities that build connection and community at Woodside. Working closely with the Director of Community and across all departments, the Community Manager ensures programming is thoughtfully coordinated, aligned with departmental priorities, and executed within established budgets.

What You Will Do

The Community Manager will plan and coordinate events, manage event details, develop and manage event timelines, and ensure alignment on department coverage, event details, timelines, responsibilities, and changes. They will also execute employee engagement programs, manage event registration, and serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, entertainment, staff, volunteers, and other event partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, emphasis in hospitality, communications, event planning, or related field
  • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in event planning
  • Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Demonstrates creativity, diplomacy, and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and focus on details
  • Ability to plan and prepare event budgets
  • Ability to work and coordinate with several internal departments and external resources
  • Computer literate - proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and various social media platforms
  • Ability to reason and problem solve without precedent
  • Preferred experience or interest in the health, fitness, or nutrition industry
  • Strong English grammar and business writing
  • Driver's License - or Transportation to and from work and on occasion miscellaneous work-related trips of short duration
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
  • Flexible and changing working hours - must be available per business needs including evenings and weekends
  • Extended hours (beyond 45) required during high season (May - September) - generally schedule will vary as needed, particularly for special events, promotions, etc.
  • Primarily sedentary work, ability to move throughout the facility
  • Ability to move 20 pounds on a regular basis
  • Visual acuity for computer work
  • Ability to type on keyboard up to 50% of time
