Role OverviewThe Community Manager is responsible for supervising, controlling, and planning the day-to-day activities of the apartment community. They are also responsible for the implementation of company policies, procedures, and programs that will assure a well-managed, well-maintained building within established management operating and assuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and investors.
What You Will Do
The Community Manager will consistently use successful techniques and company directives to screen, hire, orient, and train new personnel. They will provide support to staff to encourage teamwork and lead as an example in creating a harmonious environment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The Community Manager will determine transitions and promotions for on-site personnel, file reports regarding any work-related injuries, and maintain accurate records of all community transactions. They will also prepare annual budgets and income projections, review and approve invoices for payments, and make daily bank deposits.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of property management experience
- Ability to apply logical thinking principles to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate courses of action
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Achieve Fair Housing certification before interaction with prospects or residents
- Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite, and community software applications
- Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner throughout the workday and/or whenever present in the community
- Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook
- Successfully pass a drug test
