Role Overview

The Community School Director will oversee the daily operations of the program, ensuring smooth and effective service delivery across academic, social-emotional, and postsecondary supports. They will develop and maintain collaborative relationships with school leadership, DOE staff, funders, community-based organizations, and key partners. The Director will ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements, and analyze program effectiveness to implement continuous improvement strategies.

What You Will Do

The Program Director will oversee the daily operations of the program, develop and maintain collaborative relationships, ensure compliance, and analyze program effectiveness. They will also provide consistent, high-quality supervision to program staff, lead staff onboarding and offboarding processes, and prepare and submit qualitative and quantitative reports on program progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in education, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in youth development, education, or workforce programs.
  • Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices.
  • Proven ability to build and manage partnerships with schools, community organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative team player able to work across program, school, and administrative teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant applications; experience with databases such as DYCD Connect or Salesforce is a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
