Job Description
Community Schools Coordinator job description at Metropolitan Family Services. The Coordinator will supervise Community School staff, develop comprehensive trainings, and manage all components of the Community School. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work collaboratively with school personnel and community partners, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite. A bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in program development or program management, and working with children, are required.

Requirements

  • Supervises Community School staff
  • Develops comprehensive trainings
  • Manages all components of the Community School
  • Utilizes skills necessary to effectively address all levels of risk management
  • Conducts a comprehensive needs assessment plan of the school and community
  • Provides direct service to youth and parents
  • Organizes consumer and/or oversight committees
  • Seeks input from teachers, school staff, LSC members, parents, and students
  • Negotiates agreements within the approved program with agencies and individuals who provide services
  • Secures appropriate agency approvals as necessary
