The role is responsible for performing inspections, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure Caterpillar compact equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

As a Compact Equipment Technician, you'll perform maintenance and repair services that keep Caterpillar compact construction equipment operating at peak performance. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on Caterpillar compact construction equipment.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience repairing heavy equipment, compact construction equipment, diesel engines, or related machinery
- General knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems
- Experience using hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and diagnostic software
- Ability to read and follow service procedures and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain the tools necessary to perform assigned repairs
- Professional communication skills and a strong customer service mindset
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced service environment
