Role Overview

The Compactor Container Maintenance Technician performs repairs and maintenance to compactors to maximize operations. This role involves traveling to customer locations within a region to repair containers. The technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostics, and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors.

What You Will Do

Perform repairs and maintenance on compactors, travel to customer locations, and diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair experience, or 4 years of related experience. The candidate should also have a valid driver's license and be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job.

Requirements

  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification
  • 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Mechanical or trade school certificate (preferred)
  • Certificate in electronic diagnostics (preferred)
  • ASE certificate (preferred)
  • Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience (preferred)
