Role Overview

The Compensation/Classification Administrator will administer compensation and classification procedures, analyze staff positions, and make recommendations regarding job family, job subfamily, career stream, job title, and grade assignment. The role will also provide guidance on compensation and classification processes and procedures, conduct job analysis and compensation reviews, and assist departments in understanding compensation practices and applicable wage and hour regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, OLS, Business Management, Organizational Development or related field.
  • Minimum of one to three years of Human Resources experience.
  • Knowledge of compensation and classification principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FLSA requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze compensation and workforce data.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the institution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to supporting the university's mission, vision, and values.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build trust across levels of the institution.
