Job Description
The Compliance Investigator provides investigative support to the Gambling Control Division, the Department of Revenue-Cannabis and Alcoholic Regulation Division and Tobacco Division. The role conducts background, suitability, financial, corporate and other inquiries of applicants for licensure and non-institutional lenders to ensure compliance with the public policy of the state. The role also conducts criminal and/or administrative investigations through the use of overt and/or covert tactics to thwart illegal gambling, alcohol, and tobacco activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Three years of directly related experience.
  • Current or former law enforcement officer with a valid MT POST certificate.
  • Other regulatory or compliance experience considered.
