Job Description
Investigate firefighter line of duty deaths and prepare reports to determine suitable devices, safeguards, or other means of protection. Conduct inspections of employer facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with adopted workplace safety rules and standards. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, practices, rules, and standards that reduce and prevent firefighter employee accidents, occupational diseases, and fatalities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years' experience conducting and documenting safety related investigations in the fire service.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience with fire safety related issues or concerns, and compliance inspections.
  • Instructor I.
  • Live Fire Instructor.
  • Florida Firefighter II.
  • AA General Studies or AS in Public Safety related field.
