Job Description
The Compliance Specialist provides support to the Director of Compliance and is a visible representative of the Compliance Department. The Compliance Specialist conducts research, investigations, and audits at the direction of the Director of Compliance, facilitating adherence and enhancement of the Compliance Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • HCCA CHPC or CHC certification strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in Compliance or the healthcare industry
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security
  • Strong professional communication skills, including active listening and effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and plan work independently
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems strongly preferred
  • Ability to extract, categorize and analyze data from the electronic health record
