Role Overview

Join Nwestco's Portland, OR team as a Compliance Technician. Conduct testing, inspections, and monitoring of petroleum storage and dispensing systems. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with service technicians and contractors to identify and correct non-compliant conditions.

Conduct testing, inspections, and monitoring of petroleum storage and dispensing systems. Prepare and submit detailed compliance reports, test results, and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Valid UST 3 and local licenses
  • Experience performing compliance testing or inspections on petroleum storage and dispensing systems
  • Familiarity with EPA UST/AST regulations, SPCC plans, and related environmental compliance programs
  • Worked with or around fuel system components, such as tank monitors, sensors, sumps, and leak detection systems
  • Knowledge of or certification in compliance testing procedures, such as SIR, pressure testing, or cathodic protection evaluation
  • Prior experience preparing regulatory documentation and test reports for internal records or government submission
  • Comfortable using compliance testing equipment, including line testers, pressure gauges, conductivity meters, or LLD test kits
  • Background in fieldwork or site visits, often requiring independent scheduling and time management
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve compliance deficiencies
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to fuel systems, vapor hazards, and confined space entry
