Role Overview

The Component Manufacturing Technician I plays a critical role in transforming donated blood into safe, lifesaving blood components. Working with blood collected from generous donors, this position carefully processes, separates, prepares, and labels components for patient use while maintaining strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

What You Will Do

Component preparation and processing, including quality control and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), boxing plasma and other components for fractionator and other services, manufacturing Pooled Cryo, and troubleshooting problems associated with component processing and the associated equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Attention to detail and maintaining quality outcomes

  • Ability to balance steady execution with timely completion of daily processing requirements
