Job Description
We are seeking a Comptroller - Accounts Examiner III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer-focused environment, a degree in accounting or a business-related field, and excellent communication skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing application requests for exemptions, communicating with applicants, and analyzing tax laws and rules.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in accounting or business-related field
  • Two years' experience in a customer-focused environment involving one of the following: providing account information, customer satisfaction or researching information for successful problem resolution
  • Experience with agency's exemption process for franchise, sales, and hotel tax
  • Experience providing verbal and written responses to customer requests
  • One year experience planning, organizing and managing workloads to meet production requirements
  • One year experience handling exemptions or exempt entities with a governmental agency
