Job Description
The Comptroller's Office is seeking a Comptroller - Senior Counsel to perform advanced attorney work, including legal research, analysis, and writing on complex legal subjects. The role involves interpreting laws and rules, rendering accurate legal advice, and collaborating with agency personnel. The successful candidate will have a J.D. degree, a strong research background, and 6-8 years of experience practicing as a licensed attorney in the state of Texas.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited law school with a J.D. degree or equivalent degree
  • Six (6) years of experience practicing as a licensed attorney including researching complex areas of law (Attorney IV)
  • Eight (8) years of experience practicing as a licensed attorney including researching complex areas of law (Attorney V)
  • Possess an active license in good standing to practice law in the State of Texas
