Role Overview

The Boeing Company's Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) organization is seeking a Compute Patching and Automation Senior Manager to join the team in Aurora, CO or Boulder, CO. This role supports the Boeing Information Technology organization by leveraging extensive knowledge of leading enterprise server operating system infrastructure (physical and virtualized) and customer service to ensure server patching product offerings meet current and future internal consumer requirements.

What You Will Do

Lead and manage multiple agile teams of skilled technology professionals responsible for developing and testing operating system content, implementing changes to patching infrastructure, and creating new patching products and service offerings. Oversee sourced server patching system operations to ensure external service providers meet all requirements, serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for service providers regarding server automation issues, and identify opportunities to improve compute automation and the consumer experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading server technology, infrastructure and services projects (server hardware, operating systems, virtualization, middleware, and cloud enabling software.)
  • 5+ years of experience with Operating Systems: Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, and Oracle Enterprise Linux
  • 5+ years of experience supporting and/or working on any cloud related technology or solution
  • 5+ years of experience with presenting information to leaders and external customers
  • 5+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
