Role Overview

This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison. The Computer Facility Operations Technician will provide technical support at data centers, perform system/network infrastructure installation and troubleshooting, and maintain accurate inventory accounts of servers/equipment. The technician will work closely with the Data Center Manager and Facilities staff to ensure optimum operations and maintain a clean, organized, safe, and secure environment for warehouse and storage room environments.

What You Will Do

The Computer Facility Operations Technician will perform system/network infrastructure installation and troubleshooting, maintain accurate inventory accounts of servers/equipment, and receive and inspect incoming shipments. The technician will also improve inventory accuracy and processes, track serialized items, and maintain records for audits.

The successful candidate will have a technology background, prior computer system operations experience, and extensive knowledge of DCIM and Environmental monitoring and network cabling. Requirements

  • US Citizenship required
  • Three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of experience in Facility Operations and Data Center Operations
  • Position requires a technology background and prior computer system operations experience, to include extensive knowledge of DCIM and Environmental monitoring and network cabling
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Ability to work 24x7 on-call support and may require the ability to work shift hours to provide 24x7 days a week technical support for the House's information technology infrastructure
