Role OverviewThis position is responsible for removing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial two-way radio equipment and other commercial electronic equipment typically installed in police vehicles. The position also involves installing and removing items such as prisoner partitions, computer stands, equipment consoles, brackets, and other items necessary in police vehicles. The incumbent will have knowledge of vehicle installation techniques, vehicle wiring, and current rating. They will also have skills in the use of hand, electric, air tools, and electronic tools such as wire cutters and crimpers.
What You Will Do
The day-to-day responsibilities of this position include removing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial two-way radio equipment and other commercial electronic equipment. The incumbent will also install and remove items such as prisoner partitions, computer stands, equipment consoles, brackets, and other items necessary in police vehicles.
