Role OverviewThe Computer Technician will perform daily assigned individual and team tasks in a large Government facility providing facilities, networking, cabling, material installation and removal, inventory management, audit and drawing package support.
What You Will Do
Perform daily assigned individual and team tasks, including facility technical operations and maintenance, copper cable and fiber optic installation, local area network (LAN) test equipment, workstation/personal computer installation, and testing of networks/electrical systems.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have a DOD Secret security clearance and have or be able to obtain an SSBI, experience in facility operations, basic network administration and data management, and ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
Requirements
- A minimum of one (1) year experience or equivalent training in the area of facility technical operations and maintenance, copper cable and fiber optic installation, local area network (LAN) test equipment, workstation/personal computer installation, and testing of networks/electrical systems or equivalent training.
- Experience in facility operations, basic network administration and data management, experience with installing and maintaining network switches, routers, fiber optic, coaxial and twisted-pair cable plants, associated software, voice, video and data networks (VTC).
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Must have a DOD Secret security clearance and have or be able to obtain an SSBI.
