Role Overview

The Concrete Pump Truck Mechanic provides maintenance support to field operations at marine project locations. They are responsible for inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery used in dredging and marine construction work.

What You Will Do

The incumbent will work closely with the Equipment Manager, Yard Superintendent, Yard Leadman, Mechanics, Mechanic Laborers, and other skilled or semi-skilled crafts persons. They will perform day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities, disassemble, repair, and assemble diesel and gasoline engines, and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience as an automobile mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic and be able to communicate well. They will also have good knowledge of the heavy equipment mechanic trade, operation of various types of marine equipment, and importance of safe work practices in a marine environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience as an automobile mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic or any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Good knowledge of the heavy equipment mechanic trade
  • Operation of various types of marine equipment
