Role OverviewConductor/Engineers are responsible for the operation and movement of locomotives and railcars in full compliance with all FRA, AAR, and company rules and regulations. They work in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment with all outdoor working conditions.
What You Will Do
Perform work in a safe efficient manner, operate locomotives, interpret train orders, railroad rules, and pass written tests to verify competency. Monitor track conditions, inspect railcars, and assemble/switch trains per work orders.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 100 pounds, and perform heavy work. Must have excellent eye-hand coordination, ability to grasp, and pass a pre-employment Physical and Drug Screen.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- FRA 240 and 242 Certification
- Two years of work experience; three years of relevant experience preferred
