Configuration Management Specialist, Craftsman

Requirements

• Perform configuration identification, configuration management planning, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits
• Maintain and update the existing configuration management database for all systems (hardware, software & cable) and communications equipment (hardware and software)
• Track software licensing and other pertinent data and update the database daily to keep it accurate
• Support audits to verify that requirements of all baselines are met and are under configuration control
• Develop and review communication system requirements document to ensure sufficiency, identify shortfalls and excesses, and integrate communication systems to achieve interoperability and establish continuity procedures and a reference library of pertinent policies and procedures
• Perform facility layout and engineering for all Delta 12 responsible areas
• Package and ship defective parts and receive replacement parts for equipment under warranty
• Participate in planning forums, briefings, conferences and meetings to keep informed on internal and external resources
• Manages the configuration management team including the Information Technology Equipment Custodian and act as the central point of contract between the organization and the Base Equipment Control Office
