Job Description
The Configuration Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and control of organizational configuration items across IT systems, infrastructure, and enterprise environments.

Requirements

  • Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management policies, procedures, and standards
  • Establish and manage configuration baselines for IT systems, infrastructure, and applications
  • Maintain an accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Ensure proper identification, control, and tracking of configuration items across the enterprise
  • Oversee configuration audits and verification activities to ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate with change management, release management, and incident management teams
  • Evaluate and approve configuration changes in alignment with governance frameworks
  • Support IT operations by ensuring accurate configuration data for troubleshooting and impact analysis
  • Integrate configuration management practices with IT service management processes
  • Utilize enterprise tools such as ServiceNow or similar systems to manage CMDB and workflows
  • Develop reporting and dashboards for configuration status, compliance, and metrics
  • Identify process improvements to enhance configuration accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements
