Job Description
Role Overview

As a Construction EIT at HDR, you will be part of the Transportation Business Group, helping shape the systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably. You will work on multidisciplinary projects, designing resilient highways, iconic bridges, and advancing transit, passenger and freight rail, aviation, federal transportation ports and marine infrastructure.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, maintaining accurate daily records, reviewing construction materials for Contract compliance, and tracking quantities and developing pay estimates for acceptance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Demonstrated construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Previous construction experience with a consulting firm
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
  • Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer
  • Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
