Role OverviewROXBOX is looking for a Construction Estimator to join their Houston team. The ideal candidate will have technical aptitude, accuracy, curiosity, and the ability to independently work through complex project information to turn project requirements into accurate, buildable estimates.
What You Will Do
The Construction Estimator will develop cost estimates, review drawings and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, clarify scope and requirements, gather market pricing, prepare and update bids, manage pricing data, and collaborate across teams.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, project coordination, project engineering, or related fields, and will be able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
Requirements
- At least 1–3 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, project coordination, project engineering, or related fields (internships count)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills; Bluebeam and estimating software experience are a plus
- Analytical and detail-oriented—you notice the small things that make a big difference
- Organized and comfortable managing multiple estimates and deadlines
- Curious and resourceful—you want to understand the ‘why’ behind the numbers
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
