Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager in our Washington, D.C. office to manage construction materials testing services for commercial and residential land development projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing technician staff, preparing and submitting bids and proposals, and performing on-site project inspections.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing construction materials testing services, including managing technician staff, preparing and submitting bids and proposals, and performing on-site project inspections.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing, or Construction Project Management, and will be able to interact and communicate with clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or Geology
  • 3-5 years of field or project management experience in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing, or Construction Project Management
  • Engineer in Training or Registered Professional Engineer preferred but not required
  • Experience managing a construction project backlog between $1-3 million
  • Experience estimating, specifically determining labor requirements for various types of construction projects
  • Some business development experience is a plus
  • Experience managing construction/field staff a plus
  • Specialty construction testing certifications a plus (ACI, NECEPT, ICC)
