Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to support the Infrastructure Planning, Design & Construction group in planning, designing, and constructing capital projects. The Construction Project Engineer will be responsible for reviewing consultant designs, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring adherence to specifications and plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
  • 1 year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
  • Professional Engineering license or Construction Management Professional Certification
  • Valid driver's license in the State of New York
  • Ability to track and manage multiple contracts
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Familiarity with New York City Budget and Procurement requirements
  • High level understanding and facility in eBuilder and its workflows
