Role OverviewOur client, a leading full-service general contractor, is seeking a Construction Safety Manager with a strong understanding of safety policies and procedures. The successful candidate will travel for projects and be passionate about enhancing safety measures within the company and for clients.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include acting as lead safety personnel on projects, providing high-level safety management, conducting training sessions, and developing comprehensive safety training programs and policies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a construction-based health and safety role, an associate degree in Safety or related field, and CHST certification. Advanced certifications in safety and knowledge of excavations, concrete, and steel are also preferred.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a construction-based health and safety role
- Associate degree in Safety or related field
- CHST certification
- Advanced certification in safety (ASP, CSP, or SMP)
- Advanced knowledge of excavations, concrete, and steel
- Expert knowledge of safety policies and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Demonstrates advanced leadership and accountability
- Excellent communication, organizational, and motivational skills
- Familiarity with project management software (Autodesk, Procore, etc.)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
