Job Description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation is seeking a Construction Survey Technician Trainee at the District 2 office in Norwich. The role involves learning to operate advanced survey equipment, hands-on experience in topographic, construction, and boundary surveying, and exposure to land surveying methods and procedures.

Requirements

  • An Associate's degree in engineering technology or construction technology.
  • Possession of at least Level II certification in the Civil Engineering Technology-Transportation Program, Highway Construction Inspection or Highway Surveys from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET).
  • Possession of at least Level II certification in the Certified Survey Technician Program of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (Office Track for computer operators and Field Track for instrument operators).
