Job Description
We are seeking a Consumer Advocate, Transition to provide guidance and support to clients through the move-in process into permanent housing, using motivational interviewing and their lived experience to build relationships and help clients navigate community resources.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with homeless adults and substance use issues
  • Lived experience with homelessness, mental illness, substance use, and/or immigration issues
  • Knowledge of local benefit agencies and familiarity with substance abuse, mental health, immigration, and employment resources
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Valid NY, NJ, CT, or PA driver's license with a good driving record
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
