Role OverviewProvides support in coordination of patient-centered care to benefit the patient, family, and multidisciplinary physicians while helping achieve optimal outcomes for Covenant Health patients. Serves as primary liaison between hospital, clinic, specialty services, and Covenant Leadership. Advocates on behalf of the patient.
What You Will Do
Initiates the referral process, responds quickly to assure rapid access into the system, performs scheduling of patients, participates in patient evaluation profiles, develops relationships with referring physicians and patients, addresses tangible barriers to care, and maintains working knowledge of insurance criteria and precertification processes.

Works to develop and maintain physician and patient rapport, assists with barriers to care, and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards, and completes required education assignments annually.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill, and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job
- Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting in administration/clerical setting
